Award Winning Wines Explained
Decanter World Wine Awards
The renowned Decanter wine awards enlist some of the world's most respected wine experts to judge. Each Regional Chair is chosen for their specialist knowledge. Wines are tasted in flights of 12, grouped by region, and price bands. Wines are scored and graded: no award, Commended, Bronze, Silver or Gold. The best of each style are awarded a regional trophy. Regional winners compete for the prestigious International Trophy.
