Very bright greenish yellow colour with intense citric aromas of pink grapefruit, passion fruit and lime. In the mouth it is fresh and citric, with intense and concentrated flavours and a lingering aftertaste.

La Playa 'unoaked' Chardonnay - 2009

Chilean White Wine 75 cl Bottle

This golden, yellow Chardonnay offers fresh tropical fruit aromas of papaya, pineapple and mango combined with floral and ripe citrus. It is a fresh, medium-bodied wine with a good structure, balanced by a pleasant crisp acidity.

The Vina La Playa estate occupies some of Colchagua Valley`s most desirable acreage on the western shores of the Tinguiririca river. Comprising 600 acres and a $10 million state of the art winery, this excellent producer is owned by the Sutil family who make superb modern fruit-driven wines from grapes sourced entirely from the estate. Exciting new vineyard development in the coastal Limari Valley, north of Santiago, is starting to produce some outstanding cool climate varietals.

The true Chardonnay grape shines through on this one. It is light and crisp with a fruit cocktail aroma of exotic fruit, lemon and limes. This is a great wine to go with any fish or chicken dishes and would be a great picnic wine.
