Under the ownership of the Mau family since 1998, Château Preuillac has been extensively restored in the winery and vineyard. Situated on the gravelly Médoc plain where Cabernet Sauvignon is king, giving aromatic blackcurrant, plum and spice scented notes, yet with firm supple tannins and the complexity of barrique maturation, producing a beautiful creamy vanilla oak finish.
Chateau Preuillac is a Cru Bourgeois estate situated to the north of St Estephe on the Medoc peninsula, dating from the 19th Century. The Medoc is the home of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety, which produces some of the world`s great wines. The property was bought by the Mau family in 1998, who also own Chateau Brown, and they have embarked on a major investment programme to upgrade both the winery and the vineyards.
