Chateau d' Archambeau is located on the excellent clay, limestone and gravel soils of the southern Graves where both Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon do so well. The vineyard supports 50% Merlot with 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc combining to provide an aristocratic wine, intense with ripe black fruit, classic spice and cedar aromas and supported by harmonious tannins and smoky oak finish.
The terroir at Chateau d`Archambeau`s 13 hectare estate is undoubtedly one of the finest in the Cerons region. The hilltop is fairly stony and the slopes are composed of clay-limestone and clay-gravel soil. The estate is owned and managed Jean-Philippe Dubourdieu and his wife Corinne, producing red and dry white wines from the classic clay-gravel soils of the Graves region.
